June 18th, 2009 (Louisville, KY) - Organizers for the U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross announced today that Action Wipes will be cleaning up the muddy faces and bodies of ‘cross racers from coast to coast this fall when the USGP kicks off at the Planet Bike Cup in Madison, WI and races its way around the country.

USGP Event Director Joan Hanscom said, "We’re excited about our Action Wipes partnership. We think that we’re a bit of a match made in heaven - we’ve got muddy, sweaty bike racers who need cleaning up and they’ve got a effective and environmentally responsible product for us to use.” 

Speaking for Action Wipes, company founder Martha Van Inwegen said, “The USGP is perfect for us.  Their history of producing environmentally friendly events along with the fact that their athletes have a real need for our product makes for a great partnership.  We’re excited to be cleaning the bodies and faces of these dedicated athletes who race through rain, wind and mud in a gentle and soothing way.  Everybody wants to look good on the podium after all!”

The 2009 USGP schedule features eight full days of top-level professional and amateur racing.  The Series kicks off September 26 and 27 with the Planet Bike Cup in Madison, WI, followed by the Derby City Cup on October 24 - 25 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Series then continues on to with the Mercer Cup in Mercer County, NJ on November 14 and 15 before returning to Portland, Oregon for the for the traditional series finale on December 5 and 6 - just one week before the US National Cyclocross Championships in Bend, OR.
